Everyone’s path is different but every path has obstacles and show casing your business on line is never an easy walk. There will be moments when you want to give up but doing a few things consistently can make a difference.
The few moves that can help you are
Posting Regularly
Post something regularly and cultivate a routine. Once a day, once a week, twice a day thrice a month; try a few variations, and see what suits you best. A routine is especially important if you have other things to take care of in the business or if you are in formal employment.
Experiment by posting at different times until you find the times that will get you the most interactions and keep to that routine. Try to post as per time table without fail. Do so whether you feel like it or not. It doesn’t even have to be a long piece or a thread.
Depending on your schedule and other commitments, try to organize your thoughts and develop an idea of what you want to post beforehand so it saves ‘thinking’ time when the opportunity comes to sit down with your device.
Commenting
Try to have some time set aside to read and comment on other people’s posts. Don’t just read or comment in your niche, on viral posts or on posts from people that you socialize with-spread your wings.
Spreading your wings means that you will have the opportunity to study the various techniques and styles that are out there. When you come across some that tweak your interest, make notes about what works and what doesn’t.
Remember, you can learn just as much from bad posts as you can from good posts, or posts that go “viral”. Study posts and try to see what their attraction is then try to identify how you can benefit from them for your own posting style.
Commenting and giving your opinion on the posts in your feed is not only a great way to flex your own skills but it is also a way to have a steady stream of content for your own posts.
Asking for Help
You can also ask for help. Ask people to help you find a solution to a problem. This must be a real problem that you can give details about around your business. Be specific about what it is that you keep struggling with.
Explain, briefly, the problem you want to solve, or share the obstacles you’ve personally faced. What was something you had a problem with recently, last week, last month that is still bothering you? Ask people to help you with this.
Remember, as you ask, be prepared for criticism. Also, remember you don’t have to take the advice you are given.
