The job you have been offered may not be the one you dreamed off getting but, take it if it pays well enough and you have no others to pick from.
Here is why
Timing Is Important
Yes, the job is not one you planned for in advance but, just because it is not on your mood board does not mean that it is a fail. Taking a job that was not in your plans is not a fail. The fail is not taking a job that has been offered to you right now because you want to get your ‘’dream job”.
Stop thinking that success is only valid because it has come from taking a job you studied for. Sometimes the one you think you should get at the end of your studies may not be the one for you at the end of those studies. Markets, tools, society and you change. So, taking a job that was not in your plans is not a bad thing; you do not know where it will take you.
Doing something now is better than doing nothing. Take that job and see what happens. Many good things come out of being in the wrong job at the right time.
Timing is very important!
Growth Happens Away from Your Comfort Zone
Right now you are happy with where you live, the friends you have and the things you have access to. However, some jobs are away from your hometown and taking them can be scary but, these are the jobs that will expand your thinking, force you to be independent and introduce new things and opportunities.
Take the job and do not be hang up with it being away from your comfort zone. Maybe where you are going will open opportunities to own land, build a house or start a side-hustle. Maybe the people you will meet will be the kind that encourage ambition, do not mock discipline and refuse to normalize mediocrity.
Comfort rarely creates transformation and sometimes what you are comfortable with may be the thing that is holding you back. Imagine what you may miss if you stay in your comfort zone?
Take that job, move; growth happens away from your comfort zone!
