Do set aside some time each day to make your presence known. There is no point in you setting up a profile and not engaging. This is one of the times where the saying “if you build it, they will come” does not work well. You have to start engaging and making your presence known. Social media is a really good way to build customer relations but, if you do not take steps to engage and share your hustle, this will not happen.

Be active and keep your existing customers and future ones updated.  Sharing information about your hustle will make others interested and encourage them to reach out. Also, your existing customers can easily share your posts with their network, attracting even more customers.

Posting on social media can indirectly improve your website’s (if you have one) Search Engine Optimization (SEO). So share links to your website in the social media posts so people can share it. Over time, as more people share and visit your site it will make it easier for search engines, like Google, to boost you and ultimately make it easier for customers to find you.

Remember being active is not just selling and selling. Be social and show your personality by sharing content that you find is interesting, funny or educational. The content you share and the interactions you have with the customers away from selling are just as important as the new stock, price changes and how much time you take to deliver.

Be Relevant

Depending on the platform you are on, you need to learn the style and language of the platform as each one has a particular way of doing things. Learn the style and choose which ones make the most sense for your hustle. This means you have to do some research on each social media platform to see where your target is most engaging and how they are engaging.

When you know where your target buyer is and the demographics they fall into it will make it much easier for you to engage with them and be relevant. There is no use in you being somewhere your hustle is of no interest to the people on it.

If you know your audience, you will know what to say to them and how to say it, be it in words, pictures or videos.
