Tips to Keeping Them Coming

There is so much going on each day and finding time to post can be hard to find. However, if you do find the time make sure you do this to get the interaction you would like.

Stick To One Topic

You may have a lot of ideas in that one given moment but, stick to one topic. Give it a headline and write about or make a video about it. Don’t write a heading about shoes then start talking about ties. Let the content match the headline.

Not too long, not too short a heading will alert the reader of the content to come. Matching the content to the headline means that your audience will not be disappointed or feel their time is being wasted. Also, it is very annoying.

Do not annoy your audience or followers unless you want to lose them.

Keep It Local

The language and not so much the location, meaning you have a certain audience and by now you know what they like to read or watch and in what language, so stay in that lane.

Use phrases and lingo that is familiar to your audience as this will capture their attention and curiosity very quickly. Avoid technical jargon and language that will leave the audience scratching their heads trying to figure out what you mean.

Whether the content touches on politics, health, education or football keep and even when you’re writing for different age groups, keep speaking to them in the language or style they identify with.

Keep it local and in the lingo of your audience if you do not want to lose them halfway through your post, video or other content.

Be Smart

The smartphone has one thing for it and that it goes everywhere, so is easy to whip out and check messages, posts and watch videos. So make sure at the end there is a call to action at the end of your presentation.

Make them do what you want at the end and from wherever your audiences are viewing it, be it in a queue, in the carpark waiting to pick children up or just before they jump into the bath. This call to action must be one click away and not lead them away to another screen to repost, follow or buy.
