There is so much out there about how to better your life and it can be overwhelming but, here are 3 simple things you can do
Know Yourself
The only way to find out if you are doing well or not is to start by knowing who you are. If you know you and what you want, value and dream of you have the core. Start form this core. It is the quality of this core that will direct you and help you do better in life.
Knowing yourself means paying attention to your progresses and slumps and knowing where to make the adjustments. If you don’t know yourself, it will not count for much how much effort you put into bettering on yourself.
You are an educated person and the first thing that education does for you is give you an insight into your character. The direction you take will be dictated by your character as you have first-hand information about it. It is you that knows what is going right or wrong, even if it something you are presently ignoring.
For things to get better you have to listen to yourself because if you are made of the right sort of stuff you will be your own hardest critique. Use this critique and first-hand knowledge to make things better.
Do Something about It
The knowledge of the way you are living now will guide you into deciding what you want to do about bettering your life. It is not that difficult to know which thing is becoming a pain in your life or keeping you from moving to the next stage. Knowing this thing means you can do something about it.
What things are you doing now that harm your life? What things are you doing to build up your life? Whatever you are doing you can bet they are contributing to the position you are in now. Anything that influences the way you feel about your life now is something to address. Addressing things will mean that you do something about it.
Do you want to continue your education? Do you want to relocate from your present location and seek opportunities elsewhere? Do you want start out on your own and become self-employed or do you want an 8 to 5 job? Know yourself and what you want and use that knowledge to do something about it.
Keep a Record
Write about the things that are bothering you, the things that are pleasing you. Add the things that you are afraid of and the things that you want to change. Have a close, careful and thorough observation of this list and try to tackle each one at a time.
When you put things down, you are basically putting together a personal manual on the way things work with you. Address the situations and problems in your life and try to find good advice or guidance elsewhere if you do not have the solution.
Do not just record things, go over it once in a while and track your progress. This record is your go to for what is and what could be. It is not just you moaning about life, it is you wanting to understand your life and how you can better it.
As this is your personal instruction manual, keep it private!
